Missionary Committee
- The Sunday School Canteen provides coffee and pastries on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9:15 a.m., giving an opportunity to socialize before Sunday School classes begin.
- Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m., with many different classes available, including: Nursery/Pre-K ages, Kindergarten-Second Grade, Third Grade-Fifth Grade, Sixth Grade - Ninth Grade, Tenth Grade - Twelfth Grade, College-aged and Twenty-Somethings, Young Married Couples/, LAF (Let's All Fellowship - 40-50 year-olds and married couples), Older Married Couples Class, Elderly Women's Class, and Elderly Men's Class.
Morning Service
- The Morning Service begins at 10:40 a.m. and includes singing/worshiping, announcements, offering, a song by the Senior Choir, etc.
- Following the singing of a praise and worship song, young children (up to Fifth Grade) are dismissed to Junior Church prior to the beginning of the sermon.
Junior Church
- This is a service for younger children (up to Fifth Grade), where they are dismissed prior to the sermon for their own classes/activities.
- Besides the Nursery, our Jr. church consists of children ages 2 through 5th grade
- The children enjoy a bible lesson, crafts, activities, etc. that is age-appropriate and provides an environment to continue to foster their spiritual learning and growth.
Evening Service
- Evening services are at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings and begin with a worship service that consists of song requests.
- For the past several years, the evening services have been a combined service with the Mill Run United Methodist Church. Currently, Pastor Chris and Pastor Rob Kifer (of the MR United Methodist Church) take turns presenting the sermon.
Wednesday Prayer Meeting/Bible Study
- Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting and Bible Study combines a time of prayer requests and prayer with a Bible Study. Pastor Chris leads the Bible study. Currently, we are studying the Gospel of Luke. We will begin a study on the life of King David soon.
Campground Ministry
- During the summer months (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) ICBC provides a morning service at the nearby Yogi Bear Campground. This includes songs (sang a capella or with a guitar) and a sermon presented by different congregation members.
Vacation Bible School
- Like most Vacation Bible Schools, ours takes place during the summer, toward the end of June or beginning of July. This year our VBS will be held the week of July 8-12. From Monday through Friday, children ages 3-18 come from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. for bible lessons, crafts, recreation, missionary moments, singing, and other fun activities. We are fortunate in that a local bus garage donates two buses to transport the kids from their homes to the church and back home. This results in a large attendance every year, usually more than 100 kids.
- God's Tots is a program for toddlers and their mothers, fathers, or other caregivers. It takes place every Tuesday morning from September through May and always includes Bible lessons and songs for the kids and a Bible Study sessions for the caregivers. The children also get the chance to play and have fun in a Christ-centered setting.
King's Kids Club
- A children’s ministry, King’s Kids Club is for elementary-aged children during January and February. The kids come directly to the church from school on Tuesdays for a fun-filled evening, with a bible lesson, missionary story, crafts, movies, snacks, singing, and more.
Choirs
- ICBC has two different choirs for different age levels: Junior Choir (elementary-aged children) and Senior Choir (Adults).
- The Senior Choir meets every Wednesday night throughout the year at 8:15 p.m. to practice for the song selection they sing every Sunday. They also perform an Easter Cantata and Christmas Cantata on Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve, with beautiful songs and narration.
- The Junior Choir meets at 6:00 p.m. throughout the school year. Like the Senior Choir, the Junior Choir also has a special Christmas performance, with a play performed a few Sundays before Christmas.
Women's Bible Study
- The Women's Bible study meets the second and fourth Tuesday evening during most of the school year, from 6:45 p.m. through 8:30. With a different theme each year, the women enjoy a great lesson, discussion, fellowship, and (of course) snacks! Non-members are always welcomed and often make up a large portion of the group. This ministry has concluded for the 2018-2019 school year and will resume in the fall of 2019.
American Baptist Women Ministries
- ICBC has their own Chapter of the American Baptist Women (ABW) Ministries. ABW is a Christ-centered ministry with a commitment to encourage and empower women and girls to serve God, serve God's world, and to become and develop as God's person. As servant leaders, ABW members serve American Baptist churches by encouraging existing vital ministries with women and girls and empowering churches to build such ministries.
- At ICBC, ABW performs many different activities and serves many different ministries. They participate in numerous relief efforts, usually coordinating with the nation-wide ABW campaigns, such as school supplies and emergency first aid kits, which go to disaster locations both in the US and abroad. ABW hosts a calendar party every year to raise funds for specific missions or ministries, as well as collecting money throughout the year for various ministries. In addition, ABW sponsors a World Vision child.
Missionary Committee
- The Missionary Committee at ICBC supports many different missionaries, both in the United States and throughout the world. In addition to general offering funds, the Missionary Committee also coordinates special offering funds for specific missions, presenting information and bringing awareness of these missions to the entire congregation. These offering usually offer an opportunity for the children in the church to get involved, as they are provided with special "containers" to collect change and money at home several weeks prior to the offering and are taught about the mission during Sunday School.
